Oversized is a fit decision before it is a style one. A lens that covers the brow and the cheekbone keeps light from coming in at the sides, which is what the eye doctors mean by a wraparound, and it hides more of a face than a pilot does. The S904 does it with a thick moulded rim in black, tortoise, champagne, black-and-red and black-and-purple, and it is not polarized: the card prints UV400 and nothing more, and buyers who want the filter go to the cat-eye.

The cat-eye is the same coverage in polished metal: silicone nose pads, a frame that flexes at the corners to fit a wider face, and seven tints of which four are mirrors. It is the lightest frame on this page and the one that turns up in photographs. The two clear-lens frames are here because the search brings people to them: the oversized clear-lens square at 69 millimetres across the lens and the gradient-blue oversized frame, both worn with nothing in them, both UV400, both under twelve dollars.

Every colourway here is priced on its own; the GQUEEN lineup keeps the figures current and the till is what decides.

Questions about GQUEEN Oversized Sunglasses

Cover, and then some

Is the GQUEEN oversized square S904 polarized?

No. It is UV400 rated and the lens is a plain grey or gradient tint with no polarizing filter, and the card says so. If you want an oversized frame with the filter, the cat-eye on the same shelf has one in every tint.

Will GQUEEN oversized sunglasses fit a small face?

The S904 will sit wide on one: it is the largest frame in the range and the product data itself says it may run large for an average face. The cat-eye is the safer bet, because a metal frame with nose pads can be pinched to sit higher, and the clear-lens oversized square is a statement that suits being slightly too big.

Which GQUEEN oversized frame is the lightest?

The cat-eye, by some way. It is a thin polished-metal frame with silicone nose pads, against the S904, which is a thick polycarbonate rim and the heaviest frame we sell. On the nose after a long day that difference is the whole difference.
