What GQUEEN makes, and who it is for
Everything in this catalogue exists to sit on a face for a day without being noticed, and to do what the sticker says to the light. That one decision explains the whole range, including the shelf with nothing in the lenses at all.
- 2015 founded
- 15 frames in the range

Six shelves, and every one of them is something a face has worn before.

About GQUEEN
What we make, what separates it from the rack by the till, and how long we have been doing it.
What does GQUEEN make?
Sunglasses and clear-lens frames, in five shapes a face has worn before: the pilot, the round, the browline, the cat-eye and the oversized square. The sunglasses are polarized and UV400 rated, in metal, TR90 nylon and polycarbonate frames. The clear-lens shelf is the same frames with a plain plano lens in them, worn for the look. Six shelves in all, and the two-pair bundles are pairings of frames from the other five.
What makes a GQUEEN pair different from the rack by the till?
Three things you can check on the card. The lens claims are printed separately, polarized and UV400, colourway by colourway, and a pair sold without a filter says so. The three numbers engraved inside a temple arm, lens width, bridge and temple length, are printed where we have them, so a buyer who has never measured a pair can hold their old one up to the new one. And every lens clears the federal impact rule for sunglasses, which is linked rather than paraphrased.
The trade is the frame. A fifteen-dollar polycarbonate pair does not feel like a hundred-dollar acetate one, and the card says so instead of pretending.
Who are GQUEEN sunglasses for?
Anyone who has lost a pair before and does not want to mourn the next one. Within that, the metal pilot and the browline are cut for a medium to broad face, the round MTS2 at 48 millimetres for a narrow one, the oversized square and the cat-eye for someone who wants the brow and cheekbone covered. The clear-lens frames are for the look, and the honest line on their card is what the lens is not.
Does GQUEEN make prescription glasses?
No. Every lens here is either a tinted polarized lens or a clear plano one, and neither corrects anything. The clear-lens frames are ordinary full-rim frames with metal hinges, and an optician could in principle cut a lens for one, but that is their call and not a promise of ours.
How long has GQUEEN been making eyewear?
Since 2015, which is 11 years of the same two questions: will it fit, and does the lens do what the sticker says. The useful part of that is not the anniversary but its consequence. The pilot MOS1, the browline GQO6 and the round MTS2 have kept their shapes and their model codes across those years, so a buyer replacing a pair lost on a beach can order the same frame by its code rather than by hope.
The catalogue is easiest to read from the shape that matches the pair you already own rather than from the price list. If you are starting from scratch, the front page of GQUEEN lays the six shelves out in order, and the brand article on it puts the whole decision into one table.
How the prices and millimetres on these pages are kept current is a separate question, and it is answered on how we update the catalogue.
