People buy these for the look, and the look is the product. A square or a rectangular frame in matte black reads as glasses in a photograph and on a video call; the tortoise nerd frame reads as a decision; the oversized square at 69 millimetres reads as a costume, on purpose. What sits in them is a plano lens, which is optician’s language for a lens with no power, rated UV400 like everything else here and otherwise doing nothing to the light at all.

What they are not is worth one plain sentence. They are not a prescription and will not help you read; they are not a blue-light filter, whatever a label elsewhere may say; and they are not sunglasses. The frames, on the other hand, are frames: polycarbonate with metal hinges on the square, the rectangular and the two oversized, polished metal at twenty grams on the pilot, and any of them could take a prescription lens if you ever had one cut for it. Each ships with a pouch and a cloth.

Questions about GQUEEN Fake Glasses

Glasses with nothing in them

Do GQUEEN fake glasses have any prescription in them?

No. The lens is plano, which means it has no power in either direction, and it does not magnify, sharpen or correct anything. It is a clear polycarbonate lens with a UV400 rating and that is the whole of what it does.

Can you put your own prescription in a GQUEEN clear-lens frame?

The frames are ordinary frames with a full rim and metal hinges, so an optician could in principle cut a lens for them; whether any particular optician will fit a lens to a frame they did not sell is their call, not ours. Buy them for the look and treat a re-glazing as a bonus if it works out.

Which GQUEEN fake glasses look most like real glasses?

The rectangular frame in matte black, then the square. Both are the shapes an optician sells most, and neither is oversized. The tortoise nerd frame and the metal pilot read as a style choice, and the 69-millimetre oversized square reads as a costume.
