01The five frames written for a man first
The frames whose own name puts men first: the metal pilot MOS1, the browline GQO6, the bendy TR90, the two-pair rectangle and the steampunk round. All polarized, all UV400, from $13.98.
Colourways on this page: Silver / blue mirrored, Silver / silver mirrored, Gun / green, Black / grey, Brown / brown, Black / black, Matte black / blue, Matte black / grey, and 14 more.
The five frames on this page are the ones GQUEEN names for men first, and they have three things in common that the women’s page does not: every one is polarized, every one comes in a plain grey or black lens, and every one is built around a job rather than a photograph. The metal pilot is the driving pair. The TR90 is the one that goes running, with rubber tips and a frame that bends. The two-pair rectangle is the one that lives in a glovebox and a bag at the same time.
The browline is the odd one out and the one that sells most. A thick bar across the brow, no rim under the lens, twenty-four grams, and seven colourways including a black-and-tortoise two-pair box: it is the frame that works with a shirt collar as readily as with a T-shirt. The steampunk round is here because men buy it, in gold, silver and black, with the side shields that keep light out at the edge. Every frame on the page prints its lens width where we have it, and the pilot at 62 millimetres is the widest thing we sell.

02About these frames
The five frames written for a man first
All five on this page. The only colourways in these lines sold without a filter are marked on their own cards; the grey, black, brown and mirrored lenses on the pilot, the browline, the TR90, the rectangle and the round all carry one.
The metal pilot MOS1, at 62 millimetres across the lens and 147 across the frame, and the browline, which the product data itself describes as sitting best on broader and squarer faces. The steampunk round at 48 millimetres is the one to avoid on a wide face unless the look is the point.
Material and weight. The TR90 is a nylon frame that flexes and comes back, with rubber temple tips that grip when you sweat, and it weighs about as much as a house key. The pilot is an aluminium-magnesium alloy with spring hinges and silicone nose pads: it holds its shape, it looks like a metal frame, and it sits heavier on the nose after a long day.
